The Load-Bearing Arch of a Polka-Dot Smile

The Load-Bearing Arch of a Polka-Dot Smile

I have constructed my world on these stone steps, creating a perfect load-bearing arch between the sun and my own solitude. The magazine in my hands acts as a temporary partition wall, obscuring the chaotic grid lines of the city behind me while allowing light to filter through its glossy surface like stained glass.

But then you arrived, collapsing that distance with a sudden shift in perspective. Your gaze was not an intrusion but a structural reinforcement; it transformed my isolated balcony into a shared atrium. The lily-of-the-valley blooms I planted at the base of this structure now seem to lean toward us, rooting themselves in new soil. We are building something here without blueprints or tools—just two distinct points finding their equilibrium across space.
