The Geometry of Bokeh Light

The Geometry of Bokeh Light

The world dissolved into soft, glowing orbs around me before I even noticed he was watching. It is strange how the city can feel so loud and then suddenly shrink down to just a single point of focus—a gaze that feels like warm honey pouring over cold shoulders.

I adjusted my collar, feeling the weight of the blazer against the lace beneath it; armor I wore for work but discarded in spirit here on this corner. The lights blurred into red and teal circles, painting a dream where nothing is sharp enough to hurt you anymore.

He didn't speak immediately. In that silence between heartbeats, something unspoken passed—a delicate thread of recognition tying the lonely parts of us together.

In this kaleidoscope of streetlamps and sunset haze, I realized I wasn't afraid to be seen anymore. The city was just a backdrop for two people finding their way back to warmth.
