Sunlight through the leaves, coffee in hand, and the perfect cozy knit – feeling like this most days! Little moments that make all the difference, don’t you think? A little bit of quiet, a whole lot o...
“There. That was almost alright.” We say it quietly, of course. Not a complaint, not exactly. Just…observation. It’s been a while since anyone noticed that much anyway. Your eyes, though. They were sharp then, weren’t they? Before the dust settled. Before the slight hesitation when Thomas asked if there was enough wine for everyone at dinner last month. Less forced smile during breakfast.
Your camera wasn't intrusive today, which is nice. No obvious lens capturing every sigh, every carefully concealed flicker of feeling. Though, you did linger a bit longer by the garden, hadn’t you? Remembered the honeysuckle scenting the breeze. Almost forgot to mention that, did we?
It feels odd, doesn't it? To know you’ve been watching all along, silently judging whether we’ve finally managed to find ourselves amongst the chaos. Or if we're still clinging onto ghosts – memories of sunlight filtering through leaves, laughter echoing across summer evenings.
We don’t need a declaration, necessarily. Nothing so dramatic. Maybe just acknowledgement. Maybe just permission to keep drinking tea, alone or together, until the light fades.
So, you’re staring, aren’’t you? Ever so subtly, that hint of curiosity beneath the mildness. Like you might remember something, somewhere. Well, we’ve got time. Take your time. And look closer at the crease in our brow…”
