Here’s the Monologue:

"The wool’s a bit itchy tonight, isn’t it? Not that bad, really. Just…well. It always was with this place, wasn’t there? The scent of damp earth and woodsmoke, clinging even when we thought we were escaping it. We haven’t had much smoke lately, not since... well, no need for names. We don’t usually bother with those anymore, do we?

Feels like ages ago, doesn’t it? When the light used to catch the fringe on your coat perfectly, all golden dust motes against the grey. Like today, almost. Though your hair is longer, naturally. And less wild - which could be a good thing, or not. Everything always felt so close then, didn’t it? A little overwhelming, sometimes, but undeniably perfect.

You’re staring, aren’t you? Bit hesitant. That’s nice, actually. Less pressure than last time. Last time, it felt like a performance, didn’t it? Too many eyes, too many expectations. This feels quieter. More comfortable, perhaps.

See the way your hand restschesly near your glass? Relaxed. Almost.too relaxed. Maybe you weren', sure about coming all this way. Or maybe you needed to see if we still remembered each other. Remember that summer by the lake, the heat shimmering off the water, the way your smile looked after the rain?

Just look closer. See the slight curve of our lips, the trace of a smile hiding behind the tiredness. It hasn't been smooth sailing, of course. There’s always been a quietness, hadn’t there? Between us. But it’s a familiar quiet now, isn’t it? The quiet of acceptance. So go ahead. Let yourself get caught. After all, it's only been five years. Five beautiful, silent, often melancholic years.”
