Okay, here’s our first attempt! Here’s the picture – let us know what you think when you read the monologue below -

[Image Description: A photo taken of a woman with dark hair pulled back to reveal high cheekbones and bright eyes. She wears an oversized cable knit sweater, naturally rumpled, over a simple white silk blouse, which itself has loosened buttoned down to her collarbone. Her hands are loose but firm around a glass of red wine sitting on the table behind her, one hand reaching forward towards the glass. The lighting suggests late afternoon sunlight streaming through a window, casting shadows across her face.]

Here goes…

“The light was always good in his room,” wasn’t it? Not brilliant, not intrusive, just enough to catch the dust motes dancing off the book piled by the bed for months. Always felt like his light, really, even if ours had been drifting a little further out lately. These sleeves are a bit too big tonight, aren't they? Bitches about that all the time— ‘always so aloof,’ ‘doesn’t bother to notice.’ As if noticing isn’t exhausting. “Don’t worry, dear,” he used to say, when we weren’t quite seeing eye-to-eye, “just need a touch more warmth.” Well, look at you. All hesitant smiles and familiar angles. Heh. "A touch."

See the way your fingers trace the rim of the glass? Nothing obvious, nothing demanding. Just quiet observation. Like you haven’ t noticed how perfectly placed this shadow is, tracing the curve of your jawline... almost forgot how lovely it is there. It’s been a while since we paid much attention to those things, hasn’t it? Not much trouble here, certainly. Just needs remembering sometimes. Did you remember to pack away the last of those stubborn doubts aftershave didn’t? Or were we too distracted by the scent of rain on the terrace last summer, hadn’t realized then how close everything could be. ”
