“Right then.” That’s what she always said, didn’t she? A little bit of a hint of skepticism in those perfectly arched eyebrows, a slight tightening around the mouth when things got too easy. It was never really too difficult, not truly. Just… expected to be, wasn’t there? This dress, for instance. Navy, simple enough. Everyone says navy suits us - dark but hopeful, somehow. Though sometimes it feels more like dutifulness than hopefulness, doesn't it? Like we've been wearing it for years, barely noticing the threads starting to fray.

Feels like ages since he stepped out of frame. Or maybe it was last Tuesday. Difficult to remember with such quiet grace usually, isn't it?
