Sunlight on skin. Perfect glass of rosé. Contentment radiating from every angle. ✨
Picture/Scene: A cozy coffee shop on a rainy afternoon. Lots of warm light spilling in from big windows, mugs steaming, maybe a bookshelf overflowing with books, and a comfortable buzz of quiet activity.
(SCENE START)
INT. COFFEE SHOP - RAINY AFTERNOON
SOUND of rain against windowpanes, gentle jazz music
The camera focuses on ANNA (28), slightly bundled up in a favorite oversized scarf, nursing a latte. She’s engrossed in her notebook, sketching furiously – probably another quirky drawing of her cat, Mr. Whiskers. Anna is bright-eyed but easily distracted, maybe a little bit shy.
A mug splashes as she turns the page, sending a tiny drip onto the table.
Suddenly, a near miss: a stack of coasters wobble dangerously close to the edge.
LIAM (30) , handsome and effortlessly cool (maybe wearing a worn leather jacket), rushes to catch them. He catches all three…and nearly knocks into Anna.
Quick hands save both their coffees! Close Up on the two hands meeting briefly.
LIAM (Slightly breathless, charming smile) Sorry about that! Didn’t see you there.
Anna blushes, a delightful mess of pink.
ANNA (A little hesitant) No worries! It was...inevitable.
She gestures vaguely at her sketchbook with a tip of the pen. Liam leans in closer to peek at the sketch. It’s adorable—a fluffy ginger cat with whiskers everywhere.
CLOSE UP - CAT SKETCHING
LIAM Mr. Whiskers? Looks like he rules the house.
They laugh, a genuine, easy laughter. The camera pans out to show they're smiling at each other now.
SOUND of a barista calling “Latte for Leo!”
For a moment, the world outside the cafe fades away. They’ve been doing this before, haven’t they? Many times lately. We know they have; it's just happened so naturally.
Maybe it started last week when Liam noticed her always-present coffee stain. Or perhaps it was when she bravely orderedd a complicated drink name which neither knew how to pronounce.
Now, here they are again – cozying up by the fireplace, sharing a sugarine donut.
A shot of their fingers brushing while reaching for the same pastry crumbs.
Back to action: As Anna takes a bite of her croissant, a book falls off the shelf, landing perfectly between their cups.
LUCKY BREAK!
Close up on their eyes, catching the light, the smiles…
Liam picks up the book – "One Hundred Years of Solitude" – and holds it aloft playfully.
LIAM So, what does our heroine think of Marquez?"
Annal nods enthusiastically, oblivious to everything except him.
FINAL SHOT: Wide angle showing them nestled together amongst the warmth & comfort of the cafe, feeling completely content. Rain continues to fall gently outside.
FADE OUT.
