Salt & Silk

Salt & Silk

The sand, a whisper beneath her feet,
a velvet curtain to the ocean's beat.
Her skin, kissed by amber’s hazy grace,
reflecting twilight in this coastal space.

He came like tide and found her there,
lost in moments, light beyond compare.
A touch of salt upon her blushing cheek,
a silent promise, subtle and sleek.

The waves rolled on, a liquid serenade,
as warmth descended, beautifully made.
Each grain a memory, soft and slow,
of secrets whispered, letting feelings flow.
The city sleeps, a distant muted hum,
but here with him, all shadows overcome.

Her eyes, the color of the ocean’s deep,
held more than silence; secrets they keep.
A single strand of dark hair escaped and fell,
a tiny ribbon ‘round this coastal spell.
