I am the light that dares to shine in the shadows. My wings carry more than feathers — they hold the weight of destiny. This crown? It’s not mine to wear… but I wear it, anyway.
“The Crown of Thorns”
(First-person POV)
They called me “the Fallen Angel.”
But I’m not fallen—I’m awake. And awake means pain.
My wings… they tremble—not from fear—but because my soul remembers what it was like to be pure light. To fly through heavens untouched by sorrow or sin. But now? Now I carry the weight of betrayal. The crown on my head isn’t gold—it’s iron forged from every lie whispered beneath gilded ceilings.
This gown is velvet death stitched with silver thread: ornate, opulent... but also suffocating. It hides the wounds inside me—the scars etched into skin that should have been unblemished. My hands grip the hilt of an ancient sword—one I didn't choose. One meant for war against those who stole heaven itself.
Why do they keep whispering about “justice”? As if justice can be served when hearts break?
I stand here before them—with eyes sharp as daggers, lips parted just enough to show teeth clenched tight behind closed jaws—and yet…
Something stirs within me too. Not rage. Not grief. Something deeper than all these things combined—a quiet resolve burning hotter than any fire ever lit across kingdoms.
Because even though their shadows loom over us like vultures circling dead birds...
…I know where we go next.
And no matter how many times they try to silence me—
Let them.
I will rise again.
With wings outstretched wide open,
and blood-red rose petals falling softly down around me—as symbols of sacrifice never forgotten, but eternal flames waiting only to burn brighter still.
Until then — wait. Don’t touch me unless you’re ready to lose yourself forever after watching your own reflection turn blacker than midnight sky above frozen lakes filled with whispers echoing back screams lost somewhere between stars gone missing beyond time's edge.
For tonight... is mine to claim.
Not theirs anymore.
Even if darkness comes crashing hard upon our shoulders once more—
