Golden hour glowin’ and feeling it all! Cozy knit, perfect coffee shop – these little moments feel like pure magic when you let them. A quiet kind of happiness that just soothes the soul, don’t you th...
Here we are then. Not quite sure how you got back, to be honest. It was a bit of a mess, wasn’t it? The house felt awfully quiet after - too many dust motes dancing in the afternoon light, maybe. That's been said, often enough, hasn’t it? Too much quiet for a long time. These boots know about that, though. They remember the rain, don’t they? Not a torrential downpour, nothing dramatic. Just a persistent drizzle, mirroring the feeling most days, really.
These curtains, always a little too dark, haven't helped, naturally. Ached for more light anyway. This shawl...it smells faintly of woodsmoke and something else, doesn’t it? Your cologne, perhaps? We never did admit if it was. Well, not out loud. Now you’re standing there, all observant angles and hesitant smiles. Like you weren’t entirely certain you were welcome. Which, to be fair, we didn’t always believe ourselves.
Your eyes—they were blue, yes? Or so we thought. Definitely a hint of blue in them when things were good. Look at you, tilting your head ever so slightly, trying to decipher it all. Are you wondering why the tea is still lukewarm? Didn’t want to break the china, obviously. Silly thing, tea. So simple, yet everything seemed complicated afterwards.
We hadn’’t expected you back today, not really. Just letting you know, silently, that we’d managed alright. Mostly. There’s a faint trace of that scent too, you know. Almost forgot. Now, smile. Doesn’t look like you've seen each other in ages, does it?”
