Golden hour glow and vintage dreams - that’s what it’s all about! Feeling cozy in my favorite knit sweater today, sipping tea (and maybe a little too much). Doesn’t get better than this, does it? Life...
Here goes...
“There. That coat,” we always liked your coats. A little too much wool perhaps, for a Tuesday afternoon, but undeniably our chaos wrapped up in tweed. It’s been years, hasn’t it? Five, maybe six since the last time the wine was spilled on the Persian rug – though there were definitely arguments about whether that was to blame - and the silences weren’t quite so brittle then. Not entirely.
Now look at us. Or rather, at you. Slightly hesitant, aren't you? The camera’s probably catching it—that slight flicker of apprehension every time something starts to feel less like an effort than it used to. We didn’t exactly announce ourselves, did we? Just drifted back in, hadn’t we? After all these years, no fanfare, just a glass of good Burgundy and this familiar comfort zone.
This cardigan, by the way – cashmere, naturally. Always cashmere. Comforting, isn’t it? Tight around the edges sometimes, especially when he wasn't keen on leaving. Though, don’t think he’s missed us terribly. He certainly doesn't show it.
That frown line above your eyebrow – not disapproval, necessarily. More like curiosity mixed with a hint of trepidation. Like you’re wondering if we really should be here, poking around in the memories, rummaging through the remnants.
It’s fine. Everything’s usually alright. Just… quiet, isn’ t there? So often quiet. Like those nights, remember? Fire burning low, jazz playing softly, the scent of rain on the pavement outside. And tonight feels almost like that. Almost. ”
What do you think? How well does this capture the feeling of the photo and the mood? Now, let's hear more about the picture! 😊
