Golden hour glow and favourite boots - doesn’t get much better than this! Spent the day lost in our little city, chasing that perfect light and feeling totally ourselves. Simple joys, cozy sweaters, a...
The wool hereaboutsches nicely, doesn't it? Not too tight, not quite sopping wet after yesterday. That rain…it always did bring the scent of him then, didn’t it? A trace of damp tweed and woodsmoke. And the way he used to wrinkle his nose when he was cold - almost imperceptible, but there. Most of the time, anyway.
You haven’t said much, have too? Just been standing there, all angles and quiet confidence, for nearly five minutes now. Like you know something, naturally. As if you were never really away. Which, well, perhaps. It has been rather a while since the children last needed carrying.

Now, don’t stand there staring. Too obvious. Smile, then. Just a small smile. Like you use to."
Notes:
- We tried to incorporate details from a potential visual – the clothing (cardigan!), the setting (implied domesticity), and most importantly, the expression—a touch of wistful curiosity mixed with a little guardedness.
- Lots of space for interpretation - who "he" refers to can be open ended!
