Emerald Echoes
The mist, a velvet curtain spun from gray,
clung to the water, mirroring my gaze.
A deep green gown, a whispered plea,
against the chill of this forgotten sea.
He found me here, where shadows reside,
a fractured heart, carefully inside.
Not with grand gestures or fervent claim,
but quiet solace, a flickering flame.
His hand brushed mine, a hesitant grace,
warmth blooming in this desolate space.
Like sunlight piercing through ancient trees,
a gentle promise carried on the breeze.
The lake exhaled, a silver sigh,
as burdens loosened beneath my eye.
And in that stillness, cool and deep,
I found a solace I longed to keep.
A touch, a glance, a whispered word –
a fragile beauty, softly heard.
